Certified Health and Well-Being Coach

Wendy Beach helps people focus on what's strong to balance the focus we tend to have on "what's wrong". With credentials in health and well-being coaching and positive psychology, she helps people live authentically and feel good about who they are - right now - as they grow and live fully in all of life's ups and downs.

Coaching is mainly focused on learning new coping mechanisms and self-care while pursuing goals for the present and future. Therapy may do some of that too while also focusing on the history and root causes of deeper challenges and providing specific diagnoses and treatment.

Wendy’s clients range from people going through stressful life situations and transitions, facing a new health diagnosis, navigating substance use challenges, handling caregiving, managing diabetes, or pursuing new job opportunities and dreams! Her clients may also be working with a therapist but they do not need to be. Coaching is a tool that works well on its own or as a way to apply tools and shape goals for what they’re learning about with a licensed therapist.

Wendy is a Pet Partner therapy dog handler, loves cooking, baking, and home renovating, and stays active with her husband and pets including hiking, camping, water sports, snow sports, and travel.

A Duke Certified Health and Well-Being Coach with a B.A. in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Michigan and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, Wendy focuses on the common thread of all of her work – helping people discover and apply their unique strengths to build resilience and flourish.
