Annalise Bartol, LLMSW, CADC
I am a Limited Licensed Masters Social Worker (LLMSW) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). I have been working with children, adolescents, and their families over the last 7 years. I also have experience working with the adult population. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northern Michigan University and my Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University. In addition, I also earned an Evidenced Based Trauma Treatment (EBTT) certification from Michigan State University, where I completed a year-long educational program in child and adolescent trauma including intensive skills-based training in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and completion of a course in Core Concepts of Child and Adolescent Trauma that uses a National Child Traumatic Stress Network Core Curriculum in Child Trauma.
I have experience in facilitating individual, family, and group therapy sessions. I also have a plethora of experience in employing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I have been formally trained in TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy), and Seeking Safety, an evidenced-based model aiding individuals with co-occurring PTSD and substance abuse. My scope of practice includes working with anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, adjustment disorders, acute stress disorders, trauma related disorders, substance abuse disorders, and co-occurring disorders.
I am a firm believer in providing an individualized and strength-based treatment approach. I aim to be person-centered and understand that all individuals have varying needs, and that not all therapeutic approaches are meant for everyone. I love to learn about what works for my clients and go with that. I want to aid my clients in feeling resilient and empowered. I truly believe that all individuals deserve to build and create a life worth living and am eager to aid you in achieving self-love and hope.
I am an Upper Peninsula native; I was born in Calumet, MI and remained there until I completed High School. I moved to Marquette, MI in 2014 to attend NMU and have been residing in the area since. I live with my husband and three dogs (who are all extremely fun, furry, and stubborn!) I love to participate in outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and kayaking. I also love traveling and exploring the national parks.
I am looking forward to meeting and working with you!
