My journey to becoming a therapist started when I was 20 years old. I stumbled into a job as a counselor at an intensive residential treatment program for teen girls (while practically being a teen girl myself!) and it changed my life. In the years I spent in this role, I was able to witness resilience, growth, healing, and individuals reclaiming control over their lives. Every day that I entered that space, I was reminded that we are capable of overcoming even the biggest challenges with the right tools, right support system, and a bit of patience. This truth has stuck with me throughout my time in this field - obtaining my MSW and LMSW, working in foster care and community mental health, and now as a therapist at Caught Dreamin’ Therapy.

Today, I serve individuals and families ages 4 and up. My clinical interests include family conflict, traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I also have specific interest and experience in religious trauma and performance anxiety. Outside of work, you can find me hiking with my dog, paddleboarding, downhill skiing, or engaging in self-care by watching my favorite reality TV shows.

If you are entering my office as an adult or teen, you can expect a person-centered approach. I believe that you know what you need best, and I am excited to trust your instincts and follow your lead. In my office, you will find fidget toys, art supplies, and games readily available; because play is healing for adults just as it is for children! My hope is that the space feels inviting, comfortable, and safe.

If you are bringing your young child into my office, I will encourage them to take the lead and explore the space in whatever way they desire (messes are welcome, I promise!). I have experience in Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), which is rooted in the belief that children will tend toward pro-social behaviors and healing if they are given the freedom to do so. Our sessions will be active and play-driven, with focus being on helping them put words to their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors through reflection and tracking.

As you consider taking this important step toward healing and growth, I want you to know that you don’t have to navigate this journey alone. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or your child, I am here to provide a compassionate and nurturing environment where curiosity and healing can thrive. I invite you to reach out, ask questions, and take that first step toward a brighter, more fulfilling future.

“Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.”
