Teletherapy Only

My number one priority as a therapist is to create a comfortable space where someone can come to feel heard and unjudged. I aim to provide an engaging environment with the individuals I work with to promote collaborative problem solving. I desire for people to leave our session feeling more prepared to address future challenges. When you enter the session with me, you can expect a mutual understanding that you are the expert in your lived experiences. In turn, you will be met with a client-centered approach catered to your goals for therapy. This all starts with people feeling safe with me as their counselor. Relationship-building and trust begins with knowing what experiences I am bringing with me to our sessions.

I graduated with my Bachelors in social work from Western Michigan University, and received a Masters in social work from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2023. After which I worked in Chicago for a time before moving back to Michigan to work for Caught Dreamin’ Therapy. Throughout my time in the field I have worked primarily with children, adolescents, and young adults. Both individually and in a group setting. In Chicago, I specialized in working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD) and/or ADHD in addition to depression and anxiety disorders.

I developed a passion for cognitive-behavioral (CBT) approaches to therapy. I see this as a helpful way to explore how feelings, thoughts, and behaviors are all intertwined. This is reflected in the activities I bring to sessions; movement activities, breath work, incorporation of play, and sensory integration.

Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my dog while going for long hikes. I may also be found with a paintbrush or sketchbook in hand trying to capture the world around me in mixed media, making a mess of my kitchen while baking, or within a cocoon of blankets reading a good book.

Taking the first step to find a therapist can be extremely intimidating, the relationship one has with their counselor can make all the difference in how impactful their sessions are long term. I am looking forward to supporting you through your journey and working with you to achieve your goals.

Peace is not the absence of chaos or conflict, but rather finding yourself in the midst of that chaos and remaining calm in your heart"
