However, it is crucial to recognize that when providing services like Plant Spirit Therapy, Intuitive Card Readings, and Trauma-Informed Breathwork, these professionals operate in a coaching capacity, not as mental health therapists.

Coaching vs. Therapy:

  • Coaching Services: These are not mental health therapy. They are designed for personal development and should not be seen as a replacement for mental health care. Coaching focuses on guidance and support but does not involve therapeutic treatment.

  • Therapy Services: For traditional mental health therapy services, please refer to our section dedicated to mental health therapy. Here, licensed professionals offer therapeutic treatments in a regulated mental health setting.

Legal and Ethical Considerations:

  • Confidentiality: While our coaches strive for confidentiality, coaching sessions are not subject to the same privilege as therapy sessions. Therapists serving in the capacity of a coaching role are mandated to report certain situations, similar to as if acting in the role of a mental health professional.

  • No Therapy Documents: In coaching sessions, traditional therapy documents or services will not be provided. However, some practices from a mental health setting may carry over for your benefit.

  • Limitations: Coaches at CDT do not provide documents for legal cases or other official purposes.

Health and Safety:

  • Seek Professional Advice: Do not delay or forego professional medical or mental health care based on coaching services. Our coaches cannot diagnose, treat, or offer medical advice.

  • Self-Care Responsibility: Your well-being is important. Always consult with healthcare professionals for medical concerns and do not alter medications or treatment plans based on coaching insights without professional guidance.
