Jasmin Roden

LMSW, CAADC, PMH-C (She/Her)

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMS W) and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC). In addition, I am certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C). I earned my bachelor's degree at Northern Michigan University and my master's degree through the University of New England. I have 10-plus years of experience working with families, individuals, and children with both mental health and substance abuse issues and concerns.

I have extensive experience and training working with individuals who have complex and developmental trauma. I am passionate about working with those who are working on healing and moving toward their authentic selves. I am also passionate about individuals who are in the perinatal period (Pregnancy to one year post-birth of baby). This includes fathers or non-carrying parents.

I am trained in EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I also have experience working with those with depression, anxiety, Bi-Polar, PTSD, and personality disorder. I am currently accepting adult clients with a priority for individuals in the perinatal period. Another way you might see me is through my Dreamin Reviews Blog, where I write a book review on books that may be of interest and helpful to you. I see this as a compliment to bibliotherapy.

When I meet with you, I want to create a safe and trusting relationship first and foremost. Therapy will be done at a pace that is comfortable to you and I will work with you on establishing treatment goals that you are comfortable with. I believe strongly that people have their own power to heal and connect to their authentic selves.

I am originally from Traverse City, MI and I have lived in the Upper Peninsula since 2010. I love to travel, hike, run, and read. I believe that being outside is one of the most healing experiences for me.

Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.
