Miriah Redmond, clinical intern
University of michigan
As a healing-centered therapist, I (she/her) aim to create a safe, supportive space where individuals feel empowered to explore their mental wellness and deepen their sense of self-worth. I hold a certificate in Trauma-Informed Practice from the University of Michigan and take an eclectic approach to therapy, tailoring my methods to meet each person’s unique needs. With a strength-based and person-centered focus, I work to build a strong therapeutic alliance and help clients navigate life's challenges. I believe in the importance of the body-mind connection, and I draw from my experience as a yoga teacher and my ongoing training in somatic therapy to support the healing process. I consider it a great honor to be part of my clients' journeys of growth and self-discovery. I believe that through healing, we can become more authentic versions of ourselves and that we all deserve to feel a deep sense of belonging and joy. I will earn my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan this December. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainability from Northern University. For over a decade, I’ve worked in my rural community, focusing on community building, organizing, and promoting food security. I’m excited to continue supporting my community with a focus on healing, learning, and mental wellness.
“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field.I’ll meet you there.”
